Near dirt road 3.5 miles NW of McCloud. Knobcone pine type in non commercial area. Stand situated on a rocky ridge with majority of stand of south exposure. Diameters of knobcone pine range from 4" to 18" and hts. From 30 to 50". (estimates). Soil shallow and rocky of lava origins. Assoc. sp.: Scattered Arctostaphylos patula and Prunus demissa. Some black oak sprouts in area.
