Woodland-chaparral type. Dominant trees are Digger pines and Douglas oak. Dominant chaparral species are Arctostaphylos viscida, Ceanothus cuneatus and Rhus diversiloba. Thin soil indicated by rock outcrops. Occasional Black oak and Ponderosa pine indicating Site Index 40.
